The site presented a rather significant fall from back to front of which required mindful consideration of the indoor connection to the outdoor space. The rear and north facing entertaining area was to be one level containing a swimming pool, deck areas and a Balinese Hut. These key design element allowed the front of the house to sit high on the site and create a striking appearance from the main road as well as capturing some beautiful upper level views from the Master Suite.
The garage was located off the side street allowing for easy vehicle access as well as creating the perfect backdrop for the swimming pool and water feature wall. On entry, one side of the hallway leads to the fully equipped theatre room with projector whilst the opposing side has the prominent, feature steel staircase creating an insight of what’s to come.
The internal courtyard in the centre of the home brings northern light flooding into the main living spaces while the outdoor living room is accessed via large, cornerless bi fold doors allowing for perfect indoor/ outdoor connection with the family and dining areas. The Kitchen features a large island bench and butler’s pantry which provides direct access into the garage.
The entire lower floor is focused around allowing views to the impressive outside spaces and swimming pool.
Upstairs contains an opulent Master Bedroom suite with balcony for views, large walk in robe, dressing and make up area and en-suite with double shower, double vanity and spa bath. The other three bedrooms are all generous in proportions with one having its own ensuite and walk in robe. The other two have large built in robes and share a good sized bathroom.
This project required a Building Permit as well as a Monash City Council Report & Consent.
